AMP Names Erin Miller Vice President of Programs and Sustainability

COLUMBUS, OH: American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) is pleased to announce that Erin Miller has been promoted to vice president of programs and sustainability.

In her new role, Miller will lead AMP’s corporate sustainability efforts and oversee a number of member programs, including economic development and Efficiency Smart®. She will work with management to develop AMP’s overall approach to sustainability as a business practice and implement as appropriate throughout the organization.

Miller joined AMP in 2017 as the director of energy policy and sustainability and was promoted to assistant vice president of energy policy and sustainability in 2020. Prior to joining AMP, she served as the Environmental Steward with the City of Columbus and as director of the Center for Energy & Environment at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission.

“Erin has played a vital role in the success of AMP’s sustainability efforts since she first joined the organization,” said Adam Ward, AMP senior vice president of member services, environmental affairs and policy. “Her experience and expertise allow her to effectively navigate the challenges of an ever-changing industry. She will undoubtedly serve AMP and its Members well as she takes on leadership of additional member-focused programs.” 

Miller holds a Bachelor of Science in ecology and environmental sciences from Otterbein University and has attained the designation of LEED® Green Associate™ from Green Business Certification Inc. She is the 2019 AMP DNA Award recipient and currently serves on the American Public Power Association Smart Energy Provider Panel, the Smart Electric Power Alliance Program Advisory Committee, and the Large Public Power Council Emerging Trends Task Force.
